See How They Run

See How they Run
Directed by Bill Simon

A farce by Philip King - So swift is the action, so involved the situations, so rib-tickling the plot in this hit that at its finish you'll be as exhausted from laughter as if you had run a foot race. Galloping in and out of the four doors of an English vicarage are: an American actor and actress; a cockney maid who has seen too many American movies; an old maid who "touches alcohol for the first time"; four men in clergy suits pressing the problem of which is which; and a sedate Bishop aghast at all the goings on. It will be "a positive riot".

Guys and Dolls

Guys and Dolls
Directed by Bill Simon

Set in the Broadway area of New York City in the 1940s, "Guys and Dolls" is a story about gambling, romance, morality and salvation. The story centres around Nathan Detroit, the organizer of the "oldest established permanent floating crap game in New York." He needs $1000 to hold the next game, so makes a bet for that amount with high-stakes man Sky Masterson. The bet is that Sky can't make Miss Sarah Brown, a pure-at-heart reforming member of the Save-a-Soul Mission, fall in love with him. Sky takes the bet, and starts out on his pursuit. Who will win the bet, and at what cost?
Meanwhile, Nathan has to keep the upcoming game a secret from Adelaide, a feature performer in a nightclub and his fiancée of 14 years. Any time they have planned to get married, Nathan gets involved in some other gambling scheme. Their relationship is on the brink of ruin. Can it be saved?
